Is he interested in me?

Dear Lady Lou,

I have been dating a guy (he's 32, I'm 27) for the past month and we've gone out on about 10 dates.

I really like him, and we get along really fabulously - we laugh a lot, have good conversations, and have similar interests.

The problem is that he has not made any sort of physical move AT ALL! Not a kiss or even tried to hold my hand.

I have thought about making the first move myself, but he always seems rushed at the ends of dates. I've thought about getting him into my apartment where it would be easier to kiss him, but he never wants to come in he always says he has to get going.

At first I thought the slow pace was cool, but now I'm wondering if he is just not interested in being anything more than friends. What do you think about his behavior?

Dazed and Confused

Dear Dazed and Confused,

This indeed strange, most guys at the end of the dates prefer for things to get hot and heavy rather than run away scared.

I mean this guy doesn’t even want to come into your apartment when most men can’t wait to be invited in. A “normal” 32 year old man would have been ready to take things to the next level by now.

Now don’t get me wrong there are some extremely shy guys who prefer not take the lead in a relationship, if he is like this you will most definitely have to make the first move.

So try going in for the kiss if he shys away ask him what’s wrong, if he says nothing try again if he does the same thing again well then he is the one with the issues NOT you. Don’t beat yourself up over it though just realize he is not the one for you so move on hasta pronto!

Too often people try to make Mr. /Ms. Wrong into Mr. /Ms. Right, if he cant/wont hold kiss you or even hold your hand after a month of dating what makes you think he will want go the distance??

Cheers,

Lady Lou
