On Monday 28th of April, “Clairol Wonderful Hair Show 2003” was held at the Crowne Plaza Ballroom, Port of Spain.
At approximately 4:00p.m., the congregation comprising the nation’s best hair care professionals as well as exceptional hair stylists gathered and was welcomed by Alstons Marketing Company Limited’s (AMCO) managing director, Jose Nivet. AMCO are the local distributors of the Clairol line of products.
Before he introduced the Clairol Professional Team to those gathered, Procter and Gamble’s Marketing Manager, John Stewart made opening remarks to the assembly. Referred to as the Clairol Professional Colour Masters, Veron Thornhill and Adrian Chew when welcomed on stage,
highlighted expert hair styling techniques with the use of an assortment of products available from the wide-ranging Clairol line.
Thornhill and Chew’s demonstrations included different hair colours, colour blends, cutting styles and diverse hair-styling techniques which were displayed on a number of local models present. Allyson Brown was the choreographer for the variety of poses, locations and positions in which the models found themselves. The dynamic team of Thornhill and Chew wowed the audience with the industry’s secrets as well as product information and necessary hair-care facts.
When the duo presented the work they did on the models to the gathering, they gave the specific processes used on each of the models to make their illustrations much clearer to those present. After the models were formally introduced, the audience was allowed to interact with Chew and Thornhill with their variety of technical questions which were willingly answered by both members of the team. Information related by them was very informative as well as helpful.
Both Thornhill and Chew informed the audience that they would make available educational and training workshops for the local hair industry twice a year for the least.
