Beenie Man wed fellow artiste D'Angel at the Creighton Estate in the hills of St. Andrew, last evening.

The much-anticipated wedding of the two performers, born Moses Davis and Michelle Downer, got off to a very late start, at 6:25 p.m. because the groom arrived shortly before 5 o'clock and the bride got there at 6:15 p.m. The scheduled start was 4'o clock.

When the Grammy Award-winning DJ arrived, there were squeals of delight from his cheering fans and he greeted everyone before taking his seat. But on two separate occasions he got up to the microphone and shouted, "Anybody see mi wife, anybody see a brown girl with red hair?"

The over 250 all-white-clad guests sat patiently, but some wondered out loud whether the ceremony would still go on before nightfall. But the Reverend Al Miller, who officiated the ceremony, injected his special brand of humour and when Beenie Man repeated his vows he made light of several of the lines.
