The producers of the upcoming biopic “Notorious” have denied rumours that R&B singer Sean Kingston has landed the role of the slain Hip-Hop icon Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace.
A number media outlets have reported that the "Beautiful Girls" singer was playing the role of Wallace in the movie “Notorious,” which is being executive produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs and produced by Voletta Wallace and former managers Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow.
Kingston himself expressed enthusiasm about the chance to play Notorious B.I.G. after his audition. While Kingston is being considered to play B.I.G. on the screen, producer Wayne Barrow denied that Kingston landed the starring role in the film.
Producers for “Notorious” include B.I.G.'s mother Voletta Wallace and his former managers Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow, while George Tillman will direct the film, which was written by journalists Cheo Hodari Coker and Reggie Rock Bythewood.
Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace was shot and killed in on March 9, 1997 in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, just six months after rap rival Tupac Shakur was cut down in hail of bullets in Las Vegas.
Both murders remain unsolved.
