T&T’s Shurwayne Winchester, Calypso Rose and Billy Ocean’s will perform alongside the likes of John Legend, Mario and Ja Rule at the 12th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival which runs from June 26th to 28th.
From June 26-28th, three days of nightly entertainment will also be complimented by a host of daytime activities. The star studded event has shifted location and will be hosted at the Warner Park Football Stadium this year. Lunch time concerts in the Independence Square, Boat Rides, After Parties, Scenic Railway Tours and other fringe activities will only add to the excitement and festive mood.
Thursday night, designated Soca night will see performers such the incomparable Calypso Rose out of Trinidad, Home Grown Bands and Road March Champs Grand Masters and the Sugar Band Nu Vybes, along with El A Krew featuring Tizzy out of Antigua.
The jump and wave night’s line up continues with the King of Hype Shurwayne Wynchester out of Trinidad, Zouk Musicians from Paris, Shadow from Antigua and the Roy Cape All Stars.
Friday night belongs to the Reggae artistes and the festival Committee delivers with the man who says “Me Nah Go A Jail Again” Busy Signal straight out Jamaica along with his female contemporary Miss Money-O herself Macka Diamond. Billy Ocean might find himself a ‘Caribbean Queen’ when he takes centre stage on Friday night. Also featured on Friday night will be Pluto Shervington, Ernie Smith, Boris Gardner Pressure, Kassanova Band out of Queen City Nevis, and SK National Mykal Somer.
The final night will see Grammy Award-winning R&B Soul crooner John Legend, Hip Hop lyricist Ja Rule and heart-throb R&B singer Mario breaking hearts and raising the roof.
