Panorama 2007 The Journey

It's on!  The information is coming in fast and furious for the grandest steelband competition in the world - the 2007 Trinidad and Tobago Steelband Music Panorama Competition.   The operable word to describe the situation would be "growing", "in progress", "changing", "In depth", "complete".  The bands, leaders, administrators, promoters, musicians - are all checking in.  When Steel Talks will continue to post developing and breaking news and information as we receive it.  In this regard, you will notice that some of our charts and info are still growing from moment to moment.  We felt that info was pertinent enough that we would publish the info as it is acquired, and allow the WST family and our visitors an opportunity to experience a significant and traditional part of the panorama experience -    that is: from controlled disarray, to the coming together of everything just before game time into a moment of awesome and tight cohesiveness.

Pan is Not A Desolate Child

Comboulay Carnival- Michael Leroi Joseph, Public Relations Officer of Pan Trinbago Speaks

Trinidad - The Steel band has spoken, is speaking and will always speak, especially on matters relating to Steel band affairs. Pan doesn't need patronage, especially the kind coming from the culture vultures on some of those call-in programs over the electronic media.

To hear them express their love and concern for the Steelband around carnival time is enough to make any stranger believe that pan is a desolate child whose mother has died.  They keep searching for a place in the carnival to put Steelband.  Give them Sunday - Carnival Sunday that is- all to themselves.  That would be just right for them.  Now tell me who ask them to patronise PAN?
