Bovell Sets New National Record, Fails To Make Semis Place

George Bovell III failed to make it into the semifinals of the Men's 100m Individual Freestyle following his heat this morning.

 

Bovell set a new national record for Trinidad and Tobago and established his personal best in the event, however, he finished 20th overall with a time of 48.83. Winning overall was 22-year-old Eamon Sullivan of Australia with a time of 47.80.

 

He will next tackle the 50m sprint, on Thursday morning.
